How did you hear about OrganicAthlete?: In the summer of 2007 I attended the "Organic Islands Festival" in Victoria B.C. Dave Shishkoff had some Organic Athlete info at the Friends of Animals booth and I began reading. Being Vegan, organic minded, and an athlete I thought "Hey! I'm an Organic Athlete. This is for me!" The group was exactly what I had been looking for, without even looking. I also thought that it would be a great way to meet like minded athletes locally and around the globe. I had thought that I was one of a select few, but soon learned that is not the case and that there are many other like minded athletes out there. Wow! I will be an Organic Athlete for life.

Other interests or hobbies: reading books, photography, hikes, bikes, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoe running, studying nature and learning all that I can from her, being an active member of Organic Athlete, expressing myself creatively, personal training, studying exercise and nutrition, writing, finding new things to learn about that interest me, astronomy, drawing, exploring and discovering wonderful landscapes in my own backyard, learning about all of the places that I would like to travel to in the future, thought provoking films and documentaries, the music on my ipod, I have to say Raw Food because it is one of my main passions in life, meeting like-minded people and having great conversation with them, personally picking the food that I'm going to eat either wild or at a farm, shopping at farmers markets in the summer, Okanagan roadside fruit stands, giving raw food to others as gifts, sleeping under the stars on summer nights, running on the beach, discovering new raw fruits that I have never tried before, helping others become fit and healthy through diet and exercise, growing plants (especially ones that I can eat), watching the seasons change, watching the sun rise and set on the same day, meditation and relaxation techniques, taking pictures of wildlife scenery and sunsets...I could go on, life is just so interesting, I don't understand how anyone can ever let themselves become bored.
