New Farm for cyclists on Tunitas Creek Road

"I wanted to let you know of The Bike Hut which may be of value to you and your club members. My wife, Christine, and I recently bought a farm on Tunitas Creek Road in Half Moon Bay - http://potreronuevofarm.org/ - which we're transforming into a non-profit dedicated to the food justice movement. We'll grow organic vegetables and offer nutrition and cooking classes for local low-income families, provide environmental education programs for all ages and more.

Survey for Racing Cyclists in Bay Area

Dear Racers,

You are invited to participate in a survey about your road race experiences
and preferences. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the
questionnaire.

*http://bawc.questionpro.com/* The goal of
the survey is to gain insight into the general preferences and demographics
of the racing community. Survey input will inform the design of the 2009
BAWC Series and will be shared with promoters of Northern California races.
This survey is sponsored by Bay Area Women's Cycling and Dolce Vita Cycling.

Cyclocross is freaking cool!

Saturday Oct 4, Doyle Park in Santa Rosa, was the beginning of my first ever cyclocross race. I barely knew what cyclocross was until the monday before when Justin Torrellas gave Andy Bunnell and I a one hour cross clinic on dismounts and remounts. Then wed. I did a little pre-race practice at the park, then off we go on Sat.

It was cool to see Emily Thurston ride up before the race and yell out cool jerseys!
