Friends and fellow runners,
We'd like to thank you for the support you've shown for OrganicAthlete and healthy, compassionate living by registering for the Save a Turkey Trot Austin.
Unfortunately, we've run into a permitting snag. The race as an official event will be canceled, but we'd love to see all of you at the group run we're hosting instead. Because this is no longer an official event, OrganicAthlete is offering three different refund options:
1) Your registration will be considered a tax-deductible donation to OrganicAthlete, a 501(c) nonprofit, and you will still receive your 100% organic Save a Turkey Trot T-shirt.
2) You will receive a $10 refund, as well as your organic race T-shirt.
3) You will receive a full refund of your registration payment.
Let us know your choice here.
Regardless of your refund choice, we would love to see you at the start point of our 5K group run taking place at 9:00am on Saturday, Nov. 21.
The group run will be a two-loop course starting and ending just north of St. Edward's University at the intersection of St. Edward's Drive and East Side Drive. Parking is available on the St. Ed's campus near the Mary Moody Northen Theater and in and next to the parking garage on Moody, near the softball fields.
There will be a running clock, although unofficial, and your time will be announced as you cross the finish.
