Carrot Quinoa

I like to add just enough olive oil to the bottom of the skillet to cover the surface, before I add the water, then the Quinoa - cooks just like rice

When the Quinoa has absorbed about 1/2 of the water, I add a good amount of my favorite BBQ Sauce and stir.

Then I chop up some carrots, and quickly add them to the mix; I cover the skillet for a little while and watch closely until the Quinoa is fluffy & red and the carrots are soft enough to eat without a crunch!

Basil & Brussel Sprout Quinoa

Get the Quinoa, water & olive oil boiling, then add basil and raisins - while you're steaming the brussel sprouts in another pot. I like to cut the sprouts up into bite size leaves on the bottom of the plate or bowl, then add some EarthBalance Margarine, top it off with the Quinoa & Basil!

Traditional Quinoa Recipe

In the hills of Peru, Quinoa is made to go with potatoes. I like red potatoes, steamed & cut bite size with sea salt or dulse flakes and I add my favorite hot sauce to the Quinoa while it's cooking to infuse the Quinoa with some flavor, then at the last minute, when it's already in the bowl about to be eaten, I add some chopped fresh tomatoes, yum:)
