Motivation
It got nice and hot last weekend here in San Diego! It was 90+ at my place and 80's at the beach. It felt like mid summer! It reminded me of some fun high school summers that involved getting up super early and going surfing, coming home and eating a bunch, then going on a bike ride for a few hours or something, then eating more, then going and skateboarding at night or going swimming somewhere - basically just not stop exercise and food and good sleep!
Last Sunday 3 of us did a OA fun ride. I rode from the east to the beach (about 13 miles) and met up with two fine fellow riders at Moment Cycle Sport then tooled around Point Loma for a while and did a super steep, hot climb by Cabrillo National Monument. We met up with some other friends at O.B. People's Co-op afterwards and ate a bunch of yummy food from the deli.
The fun in the sun gave me some renewed motivation. I went to the beach at lunch the last three days, doing two runs and one boogie board session for the heck of it (haven't done that in FOREVER). I'm hoping to ride to work tomorrow and hit up the All You Can Eat. This Sunday is another ride and a Indian food themed vegan potluck afterwards with SDVeganFamilies.
Man, I love the summer in S.D.
