I wondered "do my light batteries take 2 hours to charge, or 17...?" Oh well, I unplugged them half-charged and headed out the door anyhow just past midnight this Monday.
Round Four of the Bay Area Superprestige Cyclocross Series. Good times. Kevin and I rolled out in the morning bound for San Francisco, but first a stop at the Marin Farmers market. The mission: find and buy lots of medjool, bhari, and honey dates. We lost, as the date people were no where to be found.
Sometimes I just have to ask, why am i doing this? Heading to a race that is. It always seems like a good idea until the night before, then I start being introspective and questioning my plan, at least when I feel underprepared.
It may be 'cross season, but I'm still getting my run on. Riding a bike is great and all, but there is something about flying over the ground on two feet that just feels so natural. Oh, and there is a 5k I want to hit hard this coming weekend.
Ask and ye shall receive. I had been praying for rain and mud all weekend, and my prayers were answered Saturday morning. I think Kevin and Bradley can attest to how fired up I was before the race.
Each month we will send an email to OA members asking them to respond to a simple question or theme. They can write a short story of 200-500 words, create an image essay, or post a video blog of 5 minutes of less.
