Flow. The zone. Whatever you call it, I found it under the lights last night at the Sierra Point stop of the Bay Area Superprestige Cyclocross Series.

I didn't win, and I'm not quite sure whether I was "up there" or just "in there", but it doesn't matter.  The race, the sensations; they were beautiful.  Blazing over the dirt and grass.  Diving into sinuous corners.  Attacking the steep hills. All in the big ring.  Hyper speed.  Gliding through it all, both physically and in my mind.  I was just there, enjoying every minute.  An amalgamation of speed, concentration, power, balance and suffering all in one hour long package. This is why I love racing.  This is the beauty of it all.  I'm already craving more.
