An OA workparty

Natasha, our board treasurer, came up to the OATC today to work on our books. Coding our income is rather tedious at the moment. The income come from multiple sources mostly via one payment processor, and the deposits don't match with the daily batches. When you have merchandise sales, event fees, membership dues, and donations all mixed in one deposit, there's no telling where it all came from. We did the best we could to sort it out.

How do the books look? First, may I ask that you make a donation as part of our year end campaign? $40 fetches a gift of athletic socks made from coconut fiber. Seriously, times are tight at the OrganicAthlete training center. If we meet our end of year fundraising goal, we're looking at breaking even.

Natasha and I also started working on the 2009 OA budget. I asked for a some compensation for OA's staff. I think it's due time for that. We work our butts off so that thousands of people can be exposed to the education and community that OrganicAthlete is all about.

Big thanks to Natasha for helping out today! Check out our volunteer opportunities for ways that you can get involved.
