OrganicAthlete Training Center and Tour d'Organics
I've been in the United States for just over a month now, and I consider myself a lucky bastard as I am staying another month! Honestly, a couple of years ago, I really had doubts about the US of A. But it was all prejudice. One of my best decisions ever, besides joining OA and going vegan, was coming to the US and leaving my Belgian life for about 10 weeks. What I've seen so far goes way beyond the expectations I had when I decided to come over and be an intern at the OrganicAthlete Training Center:
1. Tour d'Organics Sebastopol: this crazy event with over 1000 people riding one of the routes, all those hardworking volunteers to ensure the participants that they have the time of their life, making this one of the best events I've ever been to. Truly amazing!
2. The new OA website: a great resource for many athletes and fitness enthusiasts out there who are looking for information and guidance. Nice work!
3. Tour d'Organics Portland. I had the time of my life riding the Tour and eating too much of the excellent food. It's awesome how a bunch of volunteers can make everything work. Quality work!
4. All the other activities of OA: awesome!
Conclusion: I shouldn't go back to Belgium. All the OA fun is in the US (up till now at least, I'm gonna try to get some OA fun in Europe as well).
I'd like to thank all of you, amazing people, who make from OA this precious organisation so desperately needed is this crazy world. I really have a great time here and I hope to contribute to keep this organisation exercising its power to change the world!
Special thanks to Bradley and Charity, for making me feel at home since the very first hundredth of a second I got here, for being fantastic hosts and for everything they do for me. Grazie 1000, ontzettend bedankt, merci beaucoup, hvala!!!!! You're great!
PS: if anyone of you wants to visit Belgium, let me know!!!
