Amazing, amazing film. The link above has all 92 minutes of it. Don't know how long that link will continue to work, but I'm sure you'll be able to find it online somewhere else if it stops working.

8 Hours of Adrenalin

Last weekend my brother and I competed as team "GO JAMIE!!" in the new 2 man 8 hour category at Hurkey Creek near Idyllwild, CA.

Train 'em Young

Yes, the kids are taking over. Kidical Mass! I didn't learn on a trail-a-bike when I was a kid! I had crummy heavy little bike with solid rubber, square tires and I rode uphill both ways in the snow to school!

And yes. Shut up already. I already know what you are going to say - "Your stance makes you look like something from the Biker Fox website ". Ha ha, very funny.

Bike To Work

Rode to work again today. Afterwards it was time for All You Can Eat Vegan Philly Cheese Steaks at UCSD (3.5 did it for me - ouch belly). Funny ad for it:

Losing the Car

Rode to/from work again yesterday. Felt nice. Some UCSD cycling team folks passed me on the way home so I kept up for a while. It was good motivation to kick butt the rest of the way home after they turned off of my route. 20.5 miles in 1 hour and 5 minutes, with lots of lights and a few hills thrown in. Not bad for an old fart, it matches my previous best "coming home" time.

Motivation

It got nice and hot last weekend here in San Diego! It was 90+ at my place and 80's at the beach. It felt like mid summer! It reminded me of some fun high school summers that involved getting up super early and going surfing, coming home and eating a bunch, then going on a bike ride for a few hours or something, then eating more, then going and  skateboarding at night or going swimming somewhere - basically just not stop exercise and food and good sleep!

Ride To Work - Earth Day

Welp, I did it. I went to bed at 1am last night, then got up at 6 and rode the ~ 23 miles in to work. It was a nice morning, not too cold. There's a big hill that I have to go down right when I start the ride and sometimes it gets pretty chilly. Not this morning, though. My legs felt like jello when I got to work like I thought they would. I haven't been riding much at all lately but I surprised myself on the ride home back up the big hill. I did pretty well.
